I have two. Both are extensions of the Letter that appears on October 2.

The process will not succeed unless the Chairs that Speaker Pelosi are coordinating change their behavior to match the seriousness of the inquiry.  No more speeches by Members of Congress. Use attorneys for inquiries rather than Members of Congress. If a witness is contemptuous of Congress, act on that immediately. Remove the witness. Place him or her in custody for Contempt of Congress. Convene the whole body of the House of Representatives if that is required.

Move forward with solemnity. Considering the removal of a President is different from Congressional Hearings for the purpose of learning about how the government is operating. This is no time for celebration. We should be sad about considering the removal of a President. I do not suggest considering removal is unwarranted. That President Trump has coordinated with foreign powers against the national interest, obstructed justice, benefited financially in ways that are inconsistent with the constitution and with legal boundaries. These violations are plain to see. They need spelling out more than they need investigation. It is, nevertheless, sad and historic. This is a solemn occasion.
