Here is an attack on cows. Not like the methane issue.  Not on their flatulence. Or even their burps. An attack on their very usefulness.

White Castle. Now Burger King. They are selling meatless burgers. Impossible Burgers. They sell them for an extra dollar at White Castle. They are trying them out at Burger King in St. Louis.

The brainchild of a vegan entrepreneur. Long ago, he gave up on persuading people of the wisdom of not eating meat. Instead, he would create plant-based products that taste the same as meat. The Burger King people claim you can’t tell the difference between their traditional burgers and the Impossible Burgers.

A few watch dogs (a few hot dog watch dogs?) complain that the vegetarian burgers have not been tested enough. PETA complains that the vegetarian burgers were tested on rats. As for the cows.   They have nothing to say about schemes for their replacement.
