Robert Hubbell cites CNN about Lindsay Graham. “The defense of last resort for Trump is that ‘he’s too stupid to commit a crime.’ … in the face of increasingly damning and irrefutable evidence that Trump bribed Ukraine, Graham said that Trump was too stupid to commit a crime.”
How stupid is Lindsay Graham? Donald J. Trump may be stupid but Lindsay Graham follows him with devotion.
Lindsay Graham is running for reelection to the Senate in South Carolina in 2020. He has already flip-flopped from being a John McCain acolyte to a Donald J. Trump acolyte. If the distinguishing characteristic of Lindsay Graham’s new idol is stupidity, how smart does that make Graham?
Jaime Harrison, Graham’s Democratic opponent may ask South Carolina if Lindsay Graham is smart enough to represent them. Graham may believe that what he says just doesn’t mean anything. He may believe that the people of South Carolina could not conceivably elect a second African American US Senator – a Democrat to go along with the current African American Republican.
Jaime Harrison should ask. Better. His surrogates should ask. How stupid is Lindsay Graham if he is a follower of a man who his too stupid to bribe someone?
