I do not with Marty. Even if he is a great thinker and a great man. I am grateful to Lyndon Johnson for the Civil Rights laws. I regret the Vietnam War. I am grateful to Barack Obama and John Kerry for the Iran agreement. Former leaders of Mossad, not dependent on Netanyahu, supported the agreement. Barack Obama’s support for Israel (and not just his willingness to sell weaponry) reflected a different understanding of the Middle East. One where peace could be negotiated. It was just hard. As with Iran. Unfortunately, he did not have a partner in Netanyau.  In part because the Republicans were willing to partner with Netanyahu against their own President.

Are Israel and the US better off as partners with the killers of journalist Jamal Khashoggi? Will the Democrats finally gain from having been the party of Civil Rights in the South? Doug Jones may prove he’s not an aberration. Other Democrats may be elected as early as 2019. Is the country so afraid of four young Congresswomen it will choose Trump?
