I’ve been getting messages about Don Siegelman for a few years. When he was in jail. When he got out of jail. When he made a documentary about his case. When he wrote a book.
Don Siegelman was the last Democratic Governor of Alabama. He was the only Roman Catholic to ever serve as Governor of Alabama. He was elected in 1998. He lost in 2002. He went to jail in 2006, convicted of corruption. Because he reappointed a regulator who had donated to a charity on whose board Siegelman had once served.
Sound farfetched? Think it’s implausible that GW Bush’s US Attorney would have railroaded Siegelman for political reasons? Is this a precurser for how Donald Trump will take revenge? Or is it a precurser for what might happen to Trump?
