Asked a social worker. I had gone to a class, a free class. It was billed as Trump, China, and Russia. At the 92nd Street Y. The class wasn’t bad. A graduate student reviewing the extent to which both Russia ad China were problems for the US; how they were different from each other.

The class was appealing. Thirteen people. A lecture of sorts begun with some questions. Attendees were encouraged to interrupt and ask questions. LIke being back in school in a pretty good class without having to do the reading. Everyone there followed the issues.

These two real young guys, though. I didn’t count them among the attendees. They were in charge some how. They didn’t exactly have a business plan. They were trying something out. Maybe they could sell these talks to senior programs or other groups of people. Who would you charge, I asked? The organizations? The individuals? Probably individuals. Do you have a business card? Uh no. I showed him mine. Staples, I said. This was a start-up, I guess. Where did they get their funding?

Is this the American business model as we move into the last few years of the first quarter of the twenty-first century.
