Pail Manafort was tried in the US District Court for the DC for unregistered foreign lobbying and witness tampering. Something from the New York Attorney General? If Letitia James has something in mind, she was beaten to the punch. Immediately after the DC sentencing announcement, Cyrus Vance Jr., Manhattan District Attorney, unsealed indictments for fraud under state laws. We don’t know when Manafort will go to trial on these charges. We do know that if he is convicted, unlike the federal court convictions, he cannot be made safe by a Presidential pardon.
