Tony Evers has had a string of victories. A former teacher, principal, and school superintedent, he has a more than respectable record of getting elected and of accomplishments. Since 2009, Evers has been elected and reelected three times, the same number of times as Walker, and by larger margins than Walker's margins. Evers education focus has been on children's safety and achievement.

Political Note #79 Randy Bryce WI 01

Ordinarily, in politics, Randy Bryce would be a nobody, a nobody who tried some politics and failed. In 2012, he ran for the Wisconsin State Assembly. He lost the primary for Assembly District 62 70 to 30. In 2014, Bryce lost the election for State Senate District 21 by a little more than a 60-40. He touts himself as an ordinary guy. He turned out to be an extraordinary maker of campaign videos. His video went viral. Within 24 hours of its posting, he raised $100,000. He has raised more than a million dollars and the donations keep coming.

Political Note #28 Tammy Baldwin WI US Senate

Tammy Baldwin is Wisconsin's Democratic Senator. Her political career is a reminder that Wisconsin was and may again be a home of liberalism. As she moved from the Wisconsin legislature to the House of Representatives to the Senate, Tammy Baldwin was notable for two things: 1) Until very recently she was one of very few openly gay politicians 2) She has been among the most liberal members of each legislative body that she has been in.
